Christmas and New Years

Okay, obviously I'm a slacker when it comes to updating my blog. When I watch my daughter update hers, she does it so effortlessly, I on the otherhand, am still getting the hang of it all and so, as of right now, it seems a chore, and believe me, I have plenty of those. Christmas was everything one could hope for, I spent the 23rd with my highschool girlfriends ( who don't want their picture posted) it was wonderful to catch up. The 24th, I had a Christmas Eve Open House and Good Friends and my brothers and family came over. I loved visiting with everyone and having tamales and all the fixings. Christmas day, we went to 7:30 Mass, in the pouring rain, and mind you it was pouring sideways so it didn't matter if you had an umbrella. My mom thought that we should of gotten extra credit for this :). We came home, and my Mom, Mark and exchanged gifts and patiently waited for the kids to wake up. Finally around 10:30 we woke them up.

Mom and I got started on dinner and Erin and Jed showed up around 2:00. We watched Natalie open her gifts and once she got her battery operated horse, nothing else mattered. It was adorable and so heartwarming.

We all had dinner, visited, laughed and played some Wii and hit the sack. Erin and Jed decided to leave Friday and I spent the afternoon with my favorite niece Michelle and then Saturday, Mark's Mom came up and spent the day and then Sunday, Mark's brother and Sister-in-law and kids came up. Wow!!! lot's of family but, I honestly loved every moment of it. Actually all I wanted for Christmas was just to be around the people I love and Since the month didn't start off so well with lots of stuff going on at my work, it was just what I needed and I couldn't of felt more blessed and Thankful.
New Years, we spent with our friends in Cambria and had a blast. We met up around 3:30 and just visited and had dinner right next door to our hotel. We had planned on getting all dressed up and going to a fancy restaurant, but I honestly didn't even open my suitcase. We stayed in our comfy clothes and had a really nice casual dinner. We then went back to Karla and Steve's room since they had a suite, and played Apples to Apples. It was hysterical. Us old folks didn't make it till midnight, but no big deal. The next morning we had a yummo breakfast at Linn's restraunt and then mark and I went back down to Moonstone beach and walked up and down the beach. It was an absolutely beautiful day. What a wonderful way to start the New Year.

The rest of the month is crazy busy. Mark's 50th is the 18th, as is Erin's 26th, and My beautiful Mom turns 85 on the 13th. Lots to celebrate.

And since I'm still blog challenged, these pictures are backwards and Start with New Years back to Christmas Eve... Patience....
